About Myself
I’m Eugene—a husband, father, pastor, and lifelong student of Jesus. I serve as the Executive Pastor and teacher at Anthem Church in the Pacific Northwest, where I help guide people into a life shaped by Jesus. I also work at Practicing the Way as an Operations Manager on the Church Formation team, helping churches cultivate a vision for spiritual formation.
I believe the way of Jesus is not just something to believe but something to embody. Formation is happening all the time—through our habits, our desires, and the stories we tell ourselves. The invitation of Jesus is to be formed by Him, not just informed about Him. In a world that moves fast, I’m drawn to the slow, hidden work of becoming more like Christ—through prayer, practice, and presence.
Here, I write about the beauty and struggle of following Jesus in real life. The tension between longing and waiting. The pull between hurry and stillness. The way ordinary moments become sacred when we learn to pay attention. If that resonates, I’d love for you to follow along.
